with its WP8 incompatibility announced, i doubt this would help much.. i guess they are just trying to minimize the loss.

If i remember correctly, there should be a privacy option that restricts the people who can send facebook messages to you to your friends, how does that work with this email stuff?

Wow. Its like you just read my mind! I was about to say the same thing. Indeed, especially since there are a lots of apps out there implementing Facebook login, especially mobile apps, games and apps alike, could this be a solution to their mobile strategy? (this is not a rhetorical question.) Whats stopping them from implementing this?
