I was able to extract the audio URL track via yt-dlp. Ifyou also add ffmpeg, a FIFO and soco-cli in the mix I was able to play it back on my Sonos speaker, although I had to jump a lot of hoops to curb the HLS stream into a standard shoutcast/icecast URL stream. All of that to end into a bland chiptunes radio, not worth all that effort

It depends on the type of hardware that you use for your server. If it's really server grade you're totally right. For example cheap memory+CPU+MB x99 off AliExpress are cheap but they're not very efficient.

In my case I fell in love with the tiny/mini/micros and have a refurbish Lenovo m710q running 24/7 and only using 5W when idling. I know it doesn't support ECC memory or more than 8 threads, but for my use case is more than enough

Don't forget about Doom (1993) and Doom 2 (1994), 30 years old and still have a large community of users and mappers, even John Romero released episodes 5 and 6 for the original Doom. On the other hand I used to play some single player maps for Q1 some years ago, the site [quaddicted](https://www.quaddicted.com/) was wonderful
