I don't agree with your assessment. People didn't learn to be skeptical most of the time. We've seen what fake news does to people's opinions; debunking a video as fake after it was viewed by a large group of people is enough to do serious damage to people's viewpoints.

You mean in contrast to all the other car manufacturers that are also vulnerable and don't hand out new keys? Audi, BMW, Ford, Nissan, Mazda, Mercedes... Haven't read about a lot of manufacturers giving customers new/updated keys TBH
Either the whole disk or the user partition, such that when the device gets stolen no useful information can be extracted from it. I don't have a script; I used berryboot to encrypt the SD card in the past. I'm not a good coder but I'll try to make something work
Love the idea as well! I'm not able to test this right now, but I was wondering if there's a block for setting up an encrypted Pi? If so: awesome! If not: are there plans to implement it?
