Selecto, an elixir SQL query library that works with or without Ecto. Also SelectoComponents which gives you a web interface to build queries.

It is based on 20+ years of experience maintaining a similar system in Perl.

It's on Hex.pm already, looking for people to test and comment!

As Codex would say:

Selecto is an open-source SQL query builder for Elixir that helps you generate complex queries from clean, domain-based configs. It supports advanced joins, CTEs, subqueries, and analytics-friendly patterns, with companion packages for LiveView interfaces (selecto_components) and code generation (selecto_mix). If your app is data-heavy, Selecto gives you SQL-level power without brittle hand-written query strings.

When I first got my CPAP it was not helping at all. I complained and got a new sleep study WHILE using the CPAP that showed it was not helping. They gave a prescription for an oxygen concentrator to attach to the CPAP. That cut my events-per-hour to 1/10th what it was. When I travel, I take the CPAP but not the OX, and I can really tell the difference. I live in Colorado, and I sleep better with CPAP+OX than at sea level with just CPAP.

Also around that time that me and my friends learned what 'Extended Area' calling was- we all thought that if it was not long distance then it must be free! I remember us solemnly concluding that we would have to 'hack' the phone company. All of us also very special.

13 year old me was confused by holter monitors, which are wearable heart monitors invented by Norman J. Holter. Everyone seems to pronounce it as halter, and mine was kind of like a halter. 20 years later my Dog got one I and I saw it spelled out on a receipt..

Currently building a Splendor clone in Phoenix LiveView to teach myself Elixir... I had a rare moment of geek glee last night when I got the reserve-card functionality working, watching the cards disappear from the other screens. Afterwards I think I will do Azul in Blazor as a way of comparing the two frameworks.

Ken Forkish's book 'Flour, Water, Salt, Yeast' has led me to making some great breads, and every step is explained and has photos.

There's as many ways to make bread as there are bakers, and they are probably all good.

I fell for one of those videos last week... Didn't notice it was April fools until I went back this morning, confused. Guess I need to stop letting Youtube pick the videos I watch.

We play a great party game called 'Six Second Animals.' The caller names an animal and counts down from 6. Other players draw the animal. The caller picks a favorite and that drawer becomes caller.

I saw Jeff Lowe a couple years ago and someone from the audience asked him what technology he's seen that has most revolutionized climbing- he said headlamps: The small, light, LED headlights that last 50+ hours.

Not quite on topic, but back in 2004, I switched from sugar soda to diet soda and lost 40 lbs. I didn't make any other changes at the time, and I did and do continue to drink a lot of soda. So the idea that some people have that diet soda cannot aid in weight loss is silly. Next time you see a fat person at the store with 4 12 packs of sugared Mountain Dew, imagine them 40 lbs lighter with 4 12 packs of diet Dr Pepper. That was me.

Can't believe I've had that wrong for so long. Must have misinterpreted it right when I learned perl and have always been careful about it.

That will not always pass.

if (exists $foo->{bar}){ .. will not run .. }

if ($foo->{bar}) {...}

if (exists $foo->{bar}){ .. will run .. }

I wonder if they are finding that a lot of their systems inadvertently relied upon this bug, and they are scrambling to test and fix them all rather than release a fix that causes a lot of other things to break

Do you really know libertarians that are in favor of corporate welfare? They or you must be confused.

Many libertarians want to get rid of the corporate income tax both because it is inefficient and because it is a sandbox for corruption.
