C2 is really an engineering masterpiece. Simple, works forever, cheap replaceable parts, anyone can do the maintenance after watching a YouTube vid.

Also super cool that you can upgrade the display/head unit w/o having to get a new rower.

It's also significantly cheaper than this machine and has exceptionally high re-sale value.

You could alternatively use the google AI Platform Notebooks which are basically the same thing and billed per hour. You can now Prebake a docker images with all of the libraries that you need.

After reading other peoples comments I would like to add that there were a few classes freshman/sophomore year that had discussion sections that were mandatory. Although these were usually only held once a week. The few that I had usually had quizzes during the first 15 minutes or weekly homework due at the beginning of the session. The sections were mostly a way for the students to get face-time with the Grad Student teaching assistants since office hours were impractical for these classes due to their size (70+) . Sometimes you had to stay for the duration of the session and other times you could bounce after turning in your homework.

None of these sessions were instructor mandated. They were part of the normal course curriculum, and were chosen during class registration. The standard setup was M-W Lecture, Fri Discussion.

Not sure if this is still the case or not but at Maryland circa. 2007-2010 it was school policy that no class could have attendance factored into the grade. If you wanted to skip every class and only show up for exams, that was your choice. Privacy implications aside, I feel that this should be the case everywhere since college is effectively a business transaction. What you decide to do with the product after you've paid should be entirely up to you.

Their documentation seems to be lacking as of late or at least the last time I checked. I was attempting to get geocoding working on a project and was having a hell of time getting the api keys issued with the correct permissions. Swapped over to mapbox and had everything working in a few minutes.

Just going to throw this out there for anyone who is hesitant using a vpn managed by another service. You can set up your own easily using the ansible scripts provided by trailofbits, which supports both IPSEC and wireguard.

a small DO (Digital Ocean) instance is only $5 a month and comes with 1TB outbound bandwidth (last I checked), which ends up being cheaper than most commercial offerings.

The CDC response seems very measured and not over the top at all. Some of this may have to do with how the news is actually reporting on the matter. For reference, here is published recommendation from the CDC website.

"While this investigation is ongoing, consider not using e-cigarette products.

If you do use e-cigarette products and you experience symptoms like those reported in this outbreak, seek medical care promptly. CDC and the FDA will continue to alert the public throughout this investigation. ..."

I hate how they redesign their mice every year. Loved my g500 and it's brethren. Some of the best mine that I ever owned. However the new versions have super sharp edges and aren't as comfortable to hold. They look extreme and have more better lazers. I guess that's what the fortnite kids want or so says the marketing department.
