But OAI and Anthropic are trying to cash in ahead of their IPO window. I think that window is pretty much gone now.

People use these models for diff things.
Its quite possible for the things they are used for, people do not see much of a difference.

As someone who rarely uses LLMs because I dont need to, nor does it benefit me - I work on stuff that is original for which LLMs are useless at - Im glad.
I want everyone around me to get dumb as hell. It makes my path in life much easier and more successful.

The sentiment has shifted far too much amongst the investor community and amongst enterprises who are the life-blood of the revenue streams of Anthropic and OAI.
Further releases of Chinese models that demonstrate the gap is not growing substantially is a huge problem. The spending will be called into question.
