Other than the operational issues, like not have a good way to contact amazon, this reminds me of a 900-number system we ran at MCI.

When you registered for a 900-number, you had to submit a script along with it. MCI would try to limit the possibility that you'd use it for some nefarious purpose, all CYA. They had a team (probably one person) that audited the numbers periodically. That didn't stop people re-using the numbers for bogus financial services and adult things.

I agree about building on skills.

I do wonder though if teams with a choice pick C# or is the use of C# dictated just because the enterprise is bought into the MS ecosystem?

I bet most probably leave C# just because they leave the company that is bought in, not because they no longer like it. You code where the money is.

There sure are a lot 'Angular is Bad because...' articles out right now. Is it mainly because of the rewrite?

I've begun using Angular for personal projects. At work we use CANjs. I like CANjs but I have to say it feels easier to become productive on AngularJS. For me productivity is most important.

Regarding framework vs library. I heard more than one speaker at Fluent last year say that Angular was a library and not a framework like Ember. For me Angular seems pretty light weight compared to what else is out there.

Maybe in a few months I'll feel different. For now I don't hate on Angular.
