It's a valid opinion. People can have opinions and also not be "in a cult." I would say this default response is rather cultish in its own right by your own use of the word.

Completely agree. Look at some videos on YouTube. 20,000 comments on brand new videos sometimes. A lot of good people are commenting on the internet. The problem is that the trust in public institutions is at an all time low, and that is leading to much more doom and gloom and those of us who are from the 2000s can feel the difference in the comment sections.

Great just more apps for me to not use... It's not like people won't try to make nicer, simpler interfaces like they already do.

Doing this is way too risky. It puts your company at risk to secretly sell this data. Imagine if word slipped about this. It could easily landslide into losing half your user-base and eventually the rest of them.

The biggest problem is having a genius designer that happens to match perfectly with an engineer that can agree with the initial ideas. This also requires the engineer to be smart enough to realize the importance of the designer and allow her to be the CEO.
