The thought occurred to me some 25+ years ago that today's landfills will be tomorrow's mines. I hope it isn't true but taking the very long view I'm afraid it will be.
Why is this on a whole separate domain and why can't I use my Kagi account to comment? Why do I have to sign up here? Why haven't I seen any messaging from Kagi directly about this? This seems really weird.
Sadly I would argue that most do, about most of the things, most of the time. See the Propaganda Model.
Things like Iran are sadly the exception, as far as my experience goes.
Long, long ago when humans rode dinosaurs to work.
Slop-y indeed
People do! But you have to sit there and buzz your lips to make a trumpet make sound, but for a guitar you just have to shake the strings. And the sound coming from the amp will do this shaking, completing the feedback loop. So it's mostly portable stringed instruments that get this treatment. There are some violin players that play with feedback effects. I hear Jon Rose is one but I am not familiar with his music. Folks like Jean Luc Ponty and Jerry Goodman make ample use of guitar pedal effects in their violin. And there's a YouTuber out there who plays with them on her harp.
You would likely also need to get a Chinese driver's license.
Fascinating, thank you for taking the time to post this!
... So pay your server for ripping off their employer?
Originally switched to fastmail in '03 or so because they used perl. Kinda sad they sunset my "lifetime" plan but _guess_ I understand.
Where they depend on wood for heat they are more likely to have efficient stoves that completely burn the wood. Smoke coming out of the chimney is "firing for the crows" and wasting fuel.
As much as it angers me to say it, I do believe it is an eggcorn.
Have you seen "The Fall"?
Are they really better quality now? Honest question.
There's a theater in my area with the 64 channel audio setup and it's AMAZING and I can't reproduce anything close at home. Furiosa was so good there. But in the main I agree with your point.
I know this is in jest but do you need tshirt reviews?

As long as nothing blocks the investigation!
B&H shuts down their site for the sabbath.
I had a HS friend who was a serious swimmer (not quite Olympic level but he won state championships) and watching him eat was insane. He would eat about 3x of what we all ate. Like literally down 3 sandwiches while we had one. I think he was on a 6000 calorie a day diet. I believe the potato thing. It sure sits outside what I think I could eat, but having seen others do similar, it seems realistic.
I think you are letting your biases influence your reading comprehension. I don't blame the line workers. It's not their fault. My gripe IS with the local government. Those are the the ones who have the responsibility to change the system and who seem happy to just buy Sysco. They are government workers too...
I always thought it was a travesty that the "chefs" at my schools were just heating up junk food. It's the perfect place to achieve the economies of scale to produce whole-foods-based meals. But yet no 'real' food - dishes made from raw meat and raw vegetables that are processed in-house - was ever produced. I honestly don't think this will change in my lifetime. It's too much work and it feels like working hard, especially in a government position, is seen as making you a chump in our culture today.
Exactly. Roll it out first to see who is being "productive" at work.
Aren't blogspam/link farms the equivalent in traditional search? It's not like Google gives 100% accurate links today.
The PRC espionage system doesn't care what passport you have or even where you are born. They have a broader and more ethnic-focus definition.
And China
> Do submarines swim?
It doesn't matter HOW LLMs "swim" as long as they can, but the point being raised is whether they actually can.
It's as if LLMs can swim in the ocean, in rough surf, but fail to swim in rivers or swimming pools
Just like submarines!
Lolol THANK YOU. I totally parsed it as these guys and was mystified https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clangers
Apparently those guys have a g instead of a k.
