Stealing is indeed a skill... and a sin (target missed) - by experience not good for soul. Knowing what laws in the countries where your business evolve allow someone to get inspired (as state of the art) or reuse freely from other's work in specific industry is a more valuable skill... and better for soul. One could move smarter and faster with light soul around if rules of the game are known and all opportunities are considered and not missed.

ASCII Clouds 6 months ago

cool. but if it's really about ASCII then I expect to have possibility to copy/paste a cloudy sky in my text editor ;-P

Nice! but... are these graph steps roughly at scale e.g. area of initial blue circle compared to all of human knowledge circle? or the small PhD pimple compared to the blue circle?

If not then can someone (original author or someone else) try to review the steps with roughly realistic average scales assuming surface represent knowledge volume and color complexity spectrum from advanced (indigo) to advanced (red)?

Any candidate to make another pimple on the outer circle?

My company was using VB for developing test suites for some hardware in the 200Xs. It died for me when I've discovered Python and suggested to my management to switch existing test suites to Python.

I would like to highlight the Competing Interests claim of the article: "The authors declare that they have no competing interests." This is for sure a particularly necessary condition for issuing such high quality research on such delicate topic. It moves me to next level as a dog owner: I'll pet my dogs only when oriented E-W in order to avoid 'accidents' - I've already realigned properly my furniture around in the house.

I would note that, as per my last experience with a litter, I realize now that this is result of the forced education from the dam with an (still) unknown evolutionary purpose. Reluctant E-W-oriented puppies would turn in rounds hoping their mother/dam is not watching when selecting the wrong orientation. But each non-N-S-oriented poop position would get punished immediately with a bite. Most dogs remain with sequelaes in adult life, searching in rounds for the spot for minutes, repressing their inner E-W poop identity. I note that we used the dam to teach my young sons geography. Yes, still room to investigate this vein...

I'm glad that my country and all world can benefit from such research done abroad.

I hope no animal/human gets hurt by above inspiration moment at end of my hard work day. I apologize proactively closing my computer. My two dogs wait for me looking in a particular direction...

First keyboard built by hand for me was a ZX Spectrum 16k keyboard replacement made of door bell buttons. It was back in 1986 if I remember well. Result was a matrix of about 1m/50cm. We've actually broke the keyboard of our teacher computer because we were a full classroom playing Jetpack on it. All class has participated - of course with teacher's help. hehe...
