Iranians have said they cannot charge a "toll" according to international law, but they can charge a "fee". Charging a fee for maintanance, environment or security is fine, so it will be just a different branding to the "toll". Personally I think they should charge an environmental fee with the amount of traffic going through there.

I don't disagree. As far I understand this is 100 dollar deposit up until now. So the customer would have to actually go through the order process where they would see the updated website with new specs etc. so it's not fully a switch yet. Assuming this was not a scam from the beginning. I just think they got more orders than they expected. This seems to be a reskinned HTC U24 Pro (I think earlier Images and specs were advertising another phone). Also seems to have changed from "produced in the USA" to "Designed with American values in mind" & "With American teams helping guide design and quality" according to their website. At best this is bait and switch (assuming they deliver anything) but I can understand people calling this a scam.

It's not rare, happens every day. How else are you going to buy it from another private person safely? You want to have an instant transaction. You give somebody money and get a car, thats the safest transaction for both sides. Are you going to wire somebody 10k+ for a car you can't have instantly? It's known that abuse cases tend to spike around Christmas and new year as people tend to spend a lot of time home together with their abusive partners. That's during a rather merry time. With lockdowns in place and the stress people are dealing with currently not only will it get worse for current victims we will have more victims of abuse in the months coming. Governments should not only be concerned will the economic consequences this pandemic has caused but the social and mental health problems it is causing currently.

Do you also take testing per capita into account? The US seems to be far behind on that. Or the US has found a super effective approach that no other nation has found to this kind of test/positives ratio. Also these countries don't seem to be at the same point in time as the US, we know the US is a week or two behind some of them. Comparing them like is not really fair.
