To me this Windows hate feels like a form of a group think. But I find myself on the sidelines on many other issues, too.

To keep things simple, I would like to use Teams for both.

I do not recall any issues on using Teams on Windows. On Mac neither, but most of my work is done on Windows, so even I am a Mac user I do not have that much experience of using Teams on Mac.

Edit. Even at the moment I am forced to use Google products at work for communication, I can't say that I have had any "issues" with those products either. I think the dislike/like is mostly about feeling. Maybe at some point in my working life I got used to Teams and that stuck?

I wonder if those who complain about Teams actually use it. They might not.

My company forces us to use Google Chat. I would take Teams any day.

In Finland Covid can be diagnosed just by flu like symptoms, even with a negative test result for Covid.

I have noticed in my own use of English language that after getting into a level where I get understood well enough in work situations and such, my language skills have started to stagnate. The motivation for this could be interpreted as pro-Islamic too, in the sense that old religious symbols (in this case Christian) are removed from public places as the proportion of muslims in the population grows. No, it’s not all of Europe. In Northern Finland we’we had even snow in the last few days and typical day temperatures hang around ten degrees Celcius (EDIT: which is actually typical).

Many times the consensus has provided scientific evidence (e.g. geocentric model) and has still been wrong. For some reason, I feel that something similar is going on with the climate debate. Mix money, politics and some aspects of religion and one just might arrive to the place where we are in today.

Exactly. Somehow we humans are built in a way it is very easy to plant ideologies and make them spread in the society. If you somehow get a group to feel collective guilt for something, you are already halfway of achieving your goals. Groupthink takes care of the rest.

I suppose it is the same mechanism in work as for religions in general.

I think it has something to do with different kind of processing in the left/right hemispheres of the brain. For most people left brain type of thinking (attention to detail, focus on process) dominates, it also may be harder for them to see where and how the "gut feeling" originates.
