Unfortunate you use the word arya and then fud it just like the Aryan invasion theory that is stoked up to prop up the Dravidian nationalism. The word Arya is different from the racial Aryan. Arya in sanskrit means , the seeker of truth. I dont want to go into the details here , but there are places where seekers are called arya or arya-puthras (kind of ties down to oh-sons-of-truth as referenced in the Gita).
With all due respect to FB's engineering , how can a company be so vile in blatantly not monitoring data that was used for obviously not so ethical means. I deleted my FB account and that to me has been the most amazing decision personally i have made.
But things are getting scary , there is a Public Interest petition in court in India where there is a case pending on linking Identity cards with FB (https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/tech/internet/linking-o...). This is even more scary!. FB is a shady organization by any figment of imagination (so are the other free biggies as well) and can go to any lengths for personal profiteering.

Also include storm in the mix too. Storm 2.0 was released recently. We have been using storm for a long time and we really like its a) Simple programming model b) Support for a wide variety of sources (e.g Kinesis , EventHub) c)Easy troubleshooting We did evaluate Spark streaming (we use Spark for batch workloads and it works well) , but fell back to storm because of the above

Could not agree more. I think , spring boot + spring cloud is extremely popular in the services (should i say microservices world).
Not to say , there is a changing world. Frameworks like Quarkus , Micronaut , Javalin are changing these status quos (Reactive + Cloud native + First class Kubernetes / FaaS support + Being lean). What remains to be seen though is how is Spring able to adapt and change to these. I dont know how Webflux stands up to these , but sure is interesting times ahead!
I read recently , just some numbers that many TPS (Thermal power stations) are slowly being shutdown , because of myriad of reasons including water shortages , coal emission norms and falling costs of power (TPS /unit power is much higher than other sources)

There are places like Raichur (famous for Rice cultivation down here) that has Super thermal stations that shutdown due to lack of water.
In my home state , we can generate solar power from the rooftops and send it back to the grid and get paid for it. Best part is , I get the panel on a subsidized rate as well. Where i currently stay , solar water heaters are mandatory to get occupancy certificates for individual houses.
Without crediting anyone (and hence labeling myself as pro/con government) , recent norms have forced rethink of dirty fuels. Delhi had a ban on diesel passenger vehicles as well. An example is India's largest car manufacturer Maruti to stop diesel cars by 2020 (https://www.deccanherald.com/business/maruti-to-stop-making-...)
A combination of improved public transport (metros) and these little steps on energy self sufficiency will go a long way in the short to middle term (5-10 years is my guess)
In a hugely negative world , I find these heartening.We have unstable grids , but quite looking forward to stability in electricity.
looking at the pictures of the baby orangutans melts my heart. cannot help but think , we have lost all compassion as humans.
Apart from the language part , i am super excited about trying storm-2.0. In many ways the buzz in the ecosystem has been that storm was dead!. We run lot of prod workloads on storm and spark , storm has worked like a wonderful workhorse without quirks. The ecosystem has moved on , but i think storm may still continue having loyalists!
