yeah, I've had unlisted/private videos that are a couple years old (with the links shared with no one) get retroactive age-restriction flags or copyright flagging. I'd have to assume YT updates their algo and retroactively skims over some older back-catalog videos.

Even if you don't use l4j in your project, you are likely to use something that uses it; a transient dependency.

at my Uni many professors require a Zoom avatar exactly for this purpose. Even if it isn't a picture of the student's face it is still useful to associate an image with them.
NetOPs has an annoying set of firewall rules. Something like < 3 months registered cannot be accessed, along with a chunk of 'cheap' or 'scammy' TLDs like '.xyz' and the like

I can't even access this site at my University due to it being a newly registered domain. From WHOIS: `Creation Date: 2021-06-29T18:05:15`
Yeah I was thinking of this the other day with my YouTube usage. Me (and most I know in my generation) open any YT video with content we don't want marketed towards us in a private tab. Had someone comment on it when they were looking over my should the other day - and I realized that I just do it instinctively these days. Not even sure when I started or if it was a conscious decision... my generation just grew up with these algos and learned how to play them i guess
I think your equivalence to sitting at the table and waiting 15 mins for the menu is key. If any audience - say less tech literate - struggles to get the menu up for longer than they would wait to receive a menu from a waiter, then its not worth it, and something needs to change.
They did a full UI overhaul a year or two ago.
