When approving actions "for this project" I actively monitor .claude\settings.local.json
as

is much more permissive than
"Bash(az resource show:)",
It mostly gets it right but I instantly fix the file with the "readonly" version when it gets it too open.
It would be interesting to learn in time what this means for the durability of the display. Do the vibrations induce stresses that increase component failure?
Also how differing parts of the screen can generate different sound sources to create a sound scape tailored for the person in front of the screen (eg laptop user)?

Discussing this with some friends last night there was some consensus that sometimes this may be to force a significant cut in the workforce that is cheaper to do by firing due for cause, as compared to making roles redundant and dealing with redundancy packages. Probably not true in all cases, but maybe in some.

It's one bad thing to sync all one's email to the their cloud. It's another bad thing to give the cloud the credentials to sync one's email directly. So in theory even if you stop using the client they can still get your email without your knowledge and explicit permission (ie you are not using the client and would reasonably expect they don't have access to new emails).
Also the cloud service now have the capability to save then retrieve the credentials in plain text making them a rich target for being compromised.
I agree there is a development path to learning to read. My son is learning and during the phase of learning the phonics he would use the pictures a lot to help get context. You could tell because he would pause on each new page as he observed the graphics.
But as he became more proficient he started using the graphics as a crutch to guess the words rather than sound them out and blend them. So I started covering the pictures with my hand as I turned the pages and his progress jumped ahead in the following weeks.
He is still learning and falls into guessing patterns too easily. However through accompanied parent reading every night he is progressing well (IMO).

My personal trust of devices like this is low - and since it is capturing public side recordings (outside my front door) I'm less worried about the vidoes. I just prefer to treat them as untrusted devices and put them on my guest network isolated from the rest of my network.
I think I agree with your intent - the comparison of Big tech is government didn't gel with my perception.
What I agree with is that Big Tech is forming digital Public Spaces (rather than being a government) and as such there should be parity in rights and protections of being in a digital Public Space.
The distinction for me is that ones rights in a Public Space are different to those in a Commercial Communal Space (such as communal space in a Shopping Mall). I'd like to see a trend to open digital environments being treated as Public Spaces and away from Commercial Communal Space.

I used to love that about Google News in the early days. A search would give you results from all over the world, with different outlooks and perspectives. I found it enlightening to read against my own selection bias.
Then they removed that value point and aligned what they presented with my existing bias - at which point I stopped using it.

That’s so coincidentally funny. The most recent story we’ve made up is a cat sleeping in the living room gets woken up by a toy sized steam train chuffing towards a mouse hole tunnel. The cat leaps after the train, hits the hole and is transported to a humanoid cat land where he’s lying on the tracks in front of a full sized train tunnel. Below lies a new world to explore.
I like the idea of making it more toy like and guided by the path to fun. Thank you.
We’ve kind of started a start a story daddy, the he continues and then I do. I think your ideas will fit well with that. Taking turns on the narrative and with elements he loves. Cats as characters and trains of vehicles for fantasy. Thank you.

I agree - and doing this is not the same as doing everything they ask, on the bet it will come off. In my opinion having that view for the managers to boast about means you are aligned with where they will invest - it is where they see value.
I agree. For many BigCos this is not an active intent of malice. Often the 2 people do hope their vision will change the company. However, the company is often filled with these groups of "2 people" all trying to move the needle also, leading to a single vision not being effective.
My advice is have an honest and frank conversation with BigCo. Let them know it is in no one's interests for your start up to go out of business, and when they are doing at things at scale you (startup owner) can discuss passing on those economies of scale in terms of dedicated work, discounts, etc.
In the UK when you set up bank transfer the legal entity names are verified and displayed back tot he user and asked to be matched. This helps reduce wrong account detail transfers. Not full proof but does help.
I don’t think alignment of interest degenerates linearly with generations. I would suggest that people in their 50s today are much more aligned in interests (not talking hobbies - more generic interests) to someone in their 20s than someone in their 70s.
This is not due to the age rather than the timing of the current technological age and its impact of social evolution of values.
That said to align generations around epochs of time is disingenuous to the diversity and value anyone brings no matter how old they are. We need to tread carefully that we don’t perpetuate ageism.
I do a lot of vision and strategy work whether implicitly or explicitly. Why do we need to get somewhere and how do we get from here to there?
I believe it's really hard to get where you you want to go if everyone is looking down at the next step or two and not to the horizon. That said, a strategy that does not deal with the journey and the challenges of the journey is just a vision without an ability to realise it.
My experiences is that strategies that are not part of a delivery enablement capability are planned journeys without anyone to make it.
I find it's one of the hardest things I do in my work life and it is one of the hardest things to do right with any level of consistency.
Fortunately I do love a challenge.
When reading above the experience I have is that I rapidly correlated with apple watch heart data that my heart rate stays high when I drink alcohol in the evening, resulting in poor sleep.
Conversely I can see when I have been likely to have been drinking from my heart rate.
I think the key here is the passive data collection with intuitive data presentation to drive low barrier to entry analytics.
My experience is that not having binding release on the snowboards was effective at turning my horizontal momentum into angular momentum when the edge caught; anchoring and slammed me into the ground [head and all). TLDR; dust clogging the fans causes overheating of processors.
I went through this pain for months especially when video codecs were in use for conferences. It just kept getting worse.
Turned out that the machine was been throttled due to overheating. The root cause was dust in the fans.
A jet air cleaning of the fans fixed the issue. It was like night and day difference.
