yes. https://docs.immich.app/features/editing/ And it is very aware of exif. It also has AI features to analyze the photos (or videos) and you can for example search for "cat" and it will find all photos with cats.

at my workplace some of the devs are using github copilot (their own private account). Boss said that our company already has copilot and everyone can use it instead of private accounts.. it is enabled in our microsoft account. Of course, this is not what the devs need. Now I understand why this is so confusing, because there are many copilot products.
so, seniors will review now the AI slop code.. I am also doing this task and reviewing this kind of code takes time as the code is often overengineered. Code works but will have potential bugs. I am not able to find every bug or implication quickly. But I am also using ai to review the ai slop lol, because why now. After that I am also quickly reviewing by myself.
Just tried it out. Works fine. Love it! I tried it with a wordpress site. It is showing hundreds of sql queries in one request (thats probably why that wordpress site is so slow lol)
What I would love to see here is:
- some kind of sorting: eg. by excecution time or order. So I can see the slowest queries.
- search/filter feature.
- faster scrolling with pgup/pgdown keys.
- maybe how often the same query was executed. I could check the code and maybe optimize the queries.
and then the effects wear of. You just feel "normal" or the same as before. I used to take ssri meds too. It was nice in the beginning. Stopping was a nightmare, I needed to taper down foe like half a year..
I don't know what you have, it works on my machine. Just tried it. I can grab the rounded corner (+- few px inside/outside). I can't grab the corner like shown in the gif. I am on Tahoe 26.2 (25C56)
reminds me of my own software I created and was selling online 20 years ago. I lost the source code but people still wanted to buy it. So I sold it for few years (shareware). I had a serial key generator for windows but it was annoying to do this manually.. I wanted to extract the key generation algo so it can be generated automatically after payment. I also tried many disassembly tools like ghidra, but without luck. I decided to stop selling / supporting the software. Nowadays, I still get the occasional mail from people asking where they can buy it, or of there are some updates.
I am in Germany, I hear German ads there.
the design is very human
I tried nix (for spinning up dev environments). It is very slow compared to docker.
I also have no idea what it does. "Sentry for development", so it works like sentry but the errors are streamed to localhost??
Good job! I am still searching for a good solution which can identify songs by singing or humming the melody. There are sites (eg. soundhound) but these are not working all the time.. I think soundhound is working withoud machine learning. With the power of AI today, we could create something which works better. Like Shazam for music.
in my current role at my current company, the opposite is the case. Daily sometimes hour long meetings talking about features and some crap and less time for the actual work. I hate it. Because I love to code, but I am constantly distracted. Everyone wants something from me... some people ask if I have time, some simply call, even if I am in another meeting already.
I have been using lazygit for years. Love this tool. It is fast, doesn't need much ram, I don't have to leave my terminal (I also use byobu / tmux for tabs). I also use lazydocker from the same developer.
don't know what chatbase.co is but it seems to not be free. OpenChat is (?)
personally I don't use the magic mouse or the touch pad (only if I work remotely and i have the macbook with me) but the magic mouse is terrible compared to normal mouse. I use a gaming mouse with a ton of macro keys. These keys do various things, most important keys are keys for switching desktops.
yeah... I have the same problem. I click on the icon in dock and nothing happens. For example, Microsoft Teams.. I need this to open it and contact someone asap, but nothing happens. I need to search for the teams window on all the desktops. Or right click it and select the window, usually this works. But still frustrating. I have been using Mac for 6 months (before Windows and Linux) and Mac OS is sometimes frustrating when trying to do the most simple stuff like bringing a closed app back to front.
I am not very religious but sometimes I pray if I have some "unsolvable" problem... No idea if it helps but it feels good to know that maybe "someone" will help me. I do this usually after day long debugging or problem solving without any result, right before bed.
I was reading "Controlled burps help prevent wildfires"... time to go to bed.
I saw it for the first time today. And this was exactly what I was searching for. So for me it is cool.
yea, same here. I upload some test text. I asked how many children does my coworker have. It said "Your coworker has no children". I said but in the text it says that my coworker has 2 children. The answer was, "You are right, your coworker has 2 children as mentioned on page 2"
no way! this can also summarize / explain code!? wow!
this is really awesome. Especially for people who are dyslexic or can't concentrate for a while by reading longer texts. At least they will know what the article is about. I also like the "key points" button.
it works for me, I also have RTX 3060, if I open chrome://gpu I see this:

- Listary: a launcher (double press crtl to open)
- silversearcher ag
- total commander
- Obsidian
- chrome extension: "I don't care about cookies" will remove all the annoying gdpr cookie popups.
- espanso : highly customizable text expander (eg type :myip to replace it with your current ip using your fav scripting language)
- sqlyog : sql client with awesome power features I never seen before: eg schema and data comparision between 2 db sources.
- manictime: a time tracking software which also takes screenshots. You can then go back and see what you did and how long.
I sometimes use whisper to transcribe videos or audio to text. Works good and it is free.
oh yeah! Developer Tea is my favorite podcast, it is short, so it is enough if I go for a walk (or drink some tea)
I used duolingo to learn spanish for few months. I know some words and sentences (most important: donde esta una biblioteca?) But one day I got bored and stopped but it was kinda fun.
In the 2000 I used to write a windows tool. It was making me some pocket money until I stopped it in 2015.. I stopped it because it was in the end kinda high maintenance (support mails = time) and I needed to pay taxes, so I basically got 0 or needed even to pay to keep this alive. But until then it was a nice source of passive income. I wish I could make more of these tools. It was nothing big but I spent at least 1 year developing it (I was still learning so I think I could make this in 6 months or less nowadays)
That comment got flagged, probably because HN audience is mostly pro covid vaccine... "trust the science" or whatever.
Initially, the only thing stopping me from getting this vaccine was that people died of blood clots / heart attacks / strokes etc... and these vaccines are more like a Russian Roulette than some remedy. Especially Astrazeneca caused many problems.
And now after months seeing that these vaccines are not any effective and people are getting covid, especially after being vaccinated / boostered I ask myself, WHY should I get it? Why don't they can make a good and working vaccine - probably because they rushed it in few months. I am a developer and a good software needs time. You can still get the software few months earlier, but it will be full of bugs and could cause many problems. I don't want to have these problems in my body.
