I've been thinking how to explain to my 8 and 6 year olds that the square root of a prime number is irrational.
I've been over primes lots of times. I've talked about decimal fractions, repeating decimals, and the possibility of there being numbers which are non-repeating. I know the proof for the square root of 2 being irrational. It's just tying it all together.
I'm amazed when this kind of usability is rolled out.
If they'd just asked 5 people for feedback.

Why 10 though?
If there's one more that is as good as the other 10 then I'm happy with 11.
If there're one or two to make it a round number, I don't want to know about them.
The poster is taking the role of curator. Having 10 makes me think they haven't been disciplined, an important activity in curation.

I don't know why people feel the need to use language like this either. I think it shows weakness and lack of confidence.

In 1982, when I was 10, I was in a personal computer club, run by a guy called Alan Pearman, who had his own company, APL. He ran the club from the back of his office, games, programming, ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Dragon 32, BBC Micro, Oric. He had his own machines that he programmed using APL. It just looked like line noise. I was in awe.
It felt more like 3 hours.
