We just assume that when we commit, the code has been tested in the local dev environment. Better not be committing untested code to my repos, that will get you reprimanded.

Same here. Without staging how do I change 10 files but only commit 3 of them? For example working on a change, then notice a bug that should be fixed now. Currently I just stage the 3 files for the hot bug fix, commit those, deploy, then continue working on the remaining 7 files.

It's probably not a download it and run it piece of software, there are probably lots of configurations and likely requires the user to provide their own models and trading rules.

They probably needed the data collected by the current hardware in order to consider developing the next generation. Then they needed the hardware in order to develop the software. The only way to get the data is from a real fleet running hardware and software you control.

Can I enter your factory and inspect the dies as they come off the line before they are sealed? If yes, then you could indeed verify the silicon is as designed. Probably just as you could take a chip that does not work and diagnose the problem, this functionality would seem to be necessary to successfully build a chip/chip factory in the first place. How would you troubleshoot the manufacturing process if you couldn't audit the product for quality/accuracy?

By the time 3 or 4 rounds are raised the initial 80% owner might only retain 20% after dilution. So in the end you have to look at the cap table after future rounds, the fact that during a period of history (probably before there is any real cash to distribute) the split was 80/20 won't matter.

Accidents happen, just because you find yourself in a situation that requires you to swerve does not mean you were driving unsafe. Why does swerving imply the driver is unsafe? Surely you can imagine a safe driver having to swerve in some situations, right?
