It does sound bad, and yes I deleted them. I wanted to convince my friends at Meta of what I was seeing. They didn't believe me until I showed them.

I created a Facebook account a few years ago to get in on the local marketplace deals. After opening the website a few times and seeing very suggestive content, I had the idea of tailoring my feed to the most racy things I could find. Eventually, my feed was filled images of children wearing bathing suits and in suggestive positions, censored images of sexual acts, and AI generated images of elderly women with large breasts and little clothing. I was taking screenshots for a while but one time I opened my photo gallery while on the train and realized how embarrassing it looked to have a phone filled with this crap. ANSI C84.1-2020 defines high voltage as 115 kV to 230 kV, extra-high voltage as 345 kV to 765 kV, and ultra-high voltage as 1,100 kV.
Given that I only see circuit length data for high voltages and above, I assume this tool only considers power=line and not power=minor_line? I couldn't find confirmation of this in the documentation.
Does this project identify the specific locations with data quality issues? For someone who is interested in contributing by improving the data, a convenient list of nodes/ways that need work would help.

Why are we still building towns with the pipes under roads? Keep them under the sidewalks with loops in the cement blocks so they can be easily lifted up and moved for repairs.
This isn't a bad idea for maybe a single utility but I dont think you are considering how many utilities are under the ground: water, sewer, street runoff, natural gas, electricity, telecommunications. Each of these may have multiple lines for each of service, distribution, and transmission. One of the reasons streets get torn up a lot is that there is a low of equipment underground!

I think what most of the responses are missing is that the power system is designed for peak power consumption.
And any incremental amount of power needed to meet the peak demand is going to come from inefficient or dirty sources.
