Hi HN! Joule is a climate-focused software platform dedicated to accelerating the transition to clean energy in residential homes. The platform distinguishes itself by partnering with real estate software vendors to make energy intelligence readily accessible to key stakeholders in the home buying process, including prospective homebuyers and lenders. Joule's platform offers detailed insights into a home's energy profile, including efficiency metrics, potential for improvements, and environmental impact. By doing so, Joule facilitates smarter, more sustainable home purchases and encourages the real estate market to prioritize energy-efficient properties.

We are an early-stage venture and currently bootstrapped. We have our first customer under contract and have several others in the pipeline. The initial version of the product has been built and will go live in January. You will be a key contributor in preparing for product launch and building additional integrations with all of our customers.

We are looking for candidates with the following technical skills: Language: GoLang Developer Tools: GCP, K8s, Docker, Terraform Frameworks: React Databases: PubSub, GCS, Firebase, Firestore Other: GCP Monitoring / Alerting and experience with CI/CD test driven development

Hi HN! Joule is a climate-focused software solution tailored for the home inspection industry. We collaborate with inspection software vendors and transform field data collected by inspectors into an energy assessment. Our solution integrates energy metrics, carbon emissions, suggested improvements, and available rebates and incentives into the home inspection report. This ensures potential homebuyers are fully informed about a property's energy footprint and opportunities for improvement before making a purchase.

Hi HN! Joule is accelerating the clean energy transition of the residential sector by decarbonizing homes alongside a home mortgage. We are building a digital mortgage solution that rolls the cost of packaged sustainable upgrades (think efficiency + electrification + solar + battery) into a home purchase or refinance loan. We offer a seamless upgrade experience to borrowers by leveraging a strong network of partners, integrated software and data. We believe that every mortgage has the power to propel homes toward zero emission and also reduce the cost of homeownership.

We are looking for an experienced full stack engineer to hire as a founding member / key contributor to build an MVP and bring the product to life. You will have the opportunity to build a team and be the architect from the ground up. Our Founder and CEO is a former chemical engineer at the DOE, licensed mortgage loan originator and climate activist.
