Not to be pedantic but the iPhone 8 came out in late 2017. Still a good lifespan!

I think a lot of people here are missing the point that you can buy these and give them to friends and family members that might otherwise never try a VPN. It’s a great usability and marketing move.
Which is an incentive to not sell and instead take out a low interest loan using the properties as collateral. Many cities do have a Homestead exemption which reduces the real estate tax for primary residences.
Seems as though Argument in the alternative focusses on eliminating possible explanations. Kettle Logic involves claiming 2 or more explanations to be true while being incompatible with each other, making it a logical fallacy.
As does poverty, poor education, pollution, and mass incarceration. These are all cyclical problems.
Oh I totally do this with Hacker News too, which is why I typically block access during work hours. I feel better about it if I'm consciously giving myself a break to read HN. Right now I'm using the LeechBlock Extension which allows for timed overrides.
I recently deactivated Facebook (which I only ever used via web browser) and since then I’ve been counting the number of times I unconsciously end up on the Facebook login page when I’m bored/killing time. I’ve noticed that faced with a “new tab” I’ll often just hit the f key and hit enter without thinking about it, landing me on the Facebook login page. Before I deactivated, this would result in me somewhat unconsciously scrolling through my newsfeed mindlessly consuming whatever Facebook decides I should see that day. I don’t consider myself to be mentally weak so it scares me to think about what percentage of the population does this without ever realizing it.
Just chiming in here, but I would say the high mining hash rate makes it the most secure chain (secure like people can't go back in time and change the chain's history because it would be prohibitively expensive to do so).
Ultimately I think Ethereum's market cap will come close to challenging BTC's in the next 10 years and when that happens we will see a rapid transfer of capital from the BTC chain to the ETH chain.
Ross Ulbricht, it was at a public library, and it was a darknet marketplace not a drug empire but they sure did make an example out of him. Free Ross.
Oh I see! Thank you. I wasn't expecting that to trigger a 'drop-down' for some reason.
After playing around with it for a bit, I really love it!
One thing I found myself needing: Is there a way to manage the z-index of your layers? (e.g. send layer to back, etc)
yes! there's something refreshing about the true variety they offer.
The modern clothespin wasn’t invented until 1887. It was then that the coiled fulcrum came into play.
This and the Google GDPR story. Google is having a rough morning.
From clicking around this site, it looks like their image dithering technique has taken away the color quality required to properly view the graphs on this article: https://solar.lowtechmagazine.com/2015/10/the-4g-mobile-inte...
Your analogy makes more sense (to me) if Lazy rich child B was left original recordings of their father's music. This, like a house, would be something material that they could sell one time. Conversely, if child A was left the rights to blueprints for how to build said house. That would be something immaterial that they could license or sell the rights to.
Right? Was that a trump quote? I couldn't find the citation anywhere.
