How does "func EatADonut() async {}" aka "eating a donut is an inherently async action" even make sense to people?

Of course it does, read it as "beware, something blocking down the road".

If you can EatADonout without blocking, please do, but want it or not that's a different implementation, one that doesn't block and the signature it's telling you so.

We're so used to sync and having hidden blocking operations. I wonder if in an alternate universe the first languages considered the blocking/async nature of operations and then some newer languages considered hiding this information into seemingly sync functions would produce similar but opposite outrage against it.

Learn to value the taste of not excessively sweet food and drinks. It makes me crazy that every drink and food needs to be sweetened even when their natural flavor is very good or even better (once you acquire the taste). Coffee, fruits juice, cookies and so on, most people consume super sweet versions of those.

Thanks, I had forgotten this even existed. I was looking for something like this to perform unit conversions on a website.

There are countries running on 95%+ renewable electricity right now[1]. Including wind, hydro, solar, geothermal and biomass. Humanity keeps neglecting what is already proved to work. Because politics? Coal and gas are cheaper options? Environment is not considered in the equation?

Unfortunately by that metric other electrical heaters tend to 0% efficiency because they are not making use of the virtually unlimited energy outside the buildings.

The 400% metric let's you compare with other heaters, the 100% is kind of useless.

In Spanish when a 5 or 6 yr old learns to read, they can read virtually any word correctly, no crazy phonetics, vowels are very distinct, the language has somewhat complex but strict rules. Compared to it, English looks like spaghetti thrown to the wall.

After reading a bit more I think I got it all backwards. The force increases with distance, up to a constant, but it seems this is only applicable to already bound quarks, so there's no strong force from rest of the universe.

As I understood, it's constant only after some distance, meaning that the force to its very close quarks is still much stronger than the constant force from the rest of the universe.
