I'm in Bridport at least twice a year and I still haven't paid a visit yet. Will have to rectify that next time and get myself a string of sausages - and possibly a dog to run off with them down the street.

No business plan checks at all - I still don't have one. You have to pick a vague category that you do business in, but that was about it.
There's mention here about difficulties getting a UK bank account but I can't speak to that as I'm UK based. For me, as a UK-er, I got a business account (and a credit card at different bank) within a few days and I've never had to do anything in person. Total cost being the £14 for company reg (and later accountant fees because I'm bad at that). For what it's worth, my personal credit was below the toilet when I did all this as well, so no sweetheart Mr Moneybags dealing either.
ZX81 with 16K RAM pack. Slightly less computing power than the fishcakes I had for tea.

That was it! And I remember the wobble well. Had it set up on the kitchen table and the slightest knock would screw everything up. Good times.
Also my first computer (though I also had the 8K? expansion). It was already pretty old when I was given mine but it definitely started something. From there to C64, Amiga and then onto PC/Mac where it all started to get a bit boring.
Shape animation is the term I was looking for! Thanks.
