Second sentence form the article, "If vibecoding is what people say it is, the world should be drowning in vibecoded artifacts right now." My answer: it is. Maybe we don't have a bunch of photo editing apps but it sure seems like we have a lot of vibe coded commercial and non-commercial projects being created. If i have to see one more vibe coded agent harness I might actually lose it. And I wouldn't call it all slop

How are you dealing with porn verification laws? I have an idea for something porn related but it feels like there is a lot of red tape now that I don't want to deal with but I haven't done all that much research into it so I am probably wrong
My friend works in corporate accounting. He said his company is outsourcing a bunch of accounting functions and laying people off (I don't know the specifics). They are outsourcing to India and the outsourced company is already using AI for stuff compared to his company that isn't. He thinks many companies are going to outsource.

Edit to add: Based on the Reddit comment and this thread, https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=41004103, I would put this on CrowdStrike doing something that was unavoidable by the customer (CrowdStrike could have avoided this). But maybe there are some customer settings that could have prevented this.

Just checked my iPad and I had 2 notification markers or whatever they are called (the number on the Settings app icon) telling me about "special offers" since I recently purchased an iPhone and one to set up Apple Pay. On my Mac when I wasn't signed into iCloud I would get occasional popups telling me to sign in. Thanks Tim Apple
Someone mistyped a number somewhere and now my phone number is associated with a random person. Every election cycle I start getting texts that I never consented to and I have no recourse because it's always a different number and seemingly different organization sending the texts.
Note sure what you mean with copying the Windows approach, but that line is talking about expenses. It says that part of the increase in expenses was due to Apple spending more on advertising their products. I don't think there is a concern with Apple spending more on advertising.

Sony WH-1000XM4 wireless headphones for $228 (normally $350) at pretty much every store (Sony, Amazon, Best Buy, etc). Just got them and they are great but I never had wireless headphones. They do take 10-20 seconds to connect to my iPad, but that might be because they are also set up with my phone.
I considered the newer version but the reviews made it seem like it wasn't a huge upgrade and in some ways a downgrade, like the newer version doesn't fold to a smaller size.

I still use TV Guide to check what is on for sports, but only a few times a month. I don't normally watch TV and I just have an antenna directly hooked up to my TV. TV Guide is faster than the guide on my TV and I can look beyond the next hour.

I haven't started yet, but the syllabus for each course seemed interesting and covers off on the thinking part. You can take the classes for free if you audit them though the website throws the payment option at you.
I had a physical version of this a couple of decades ago as a kid. I can find similar products searching for "perpetual calendar". The one I had included a slider to select the month. It also had the day of the week at the top and a small circular peg to place over each day.
I worked at a company that had similar situations, so here are some thoughts.
Make sure you really understand what it is they want and how they will use your product. Our company would speak with companies and it turned out that our service wasn't exactly what they wanted, it just sounded like what they wanted. Basically the value prop wasn't understood. Or they liked our features, but really wanted a competitor feature we didn't have. In these cases we spent time across multiple teams trying to close these deals and it led to nothing.
Also, make sure you really understand all of their requirements. We spent a bunch of time speaking with one company, spent time during a trial to impress them, then at the end it didn't close because they wanted us to have a specific industry certification that we didn't have and weren't planning on obtaining. They went with a competitor.
Another problem we would run into is that we would trial with a company, then whoever our contact was would quit. Then whoever replaced them either didn't think our service was needed, or just couldn't continue speaking with us because they had to get settled into their new role.
Pricing was also an issue sometimes. Make sure you speak about it upfront. Again, we had companies not close because pricing came up at the end and they didn't want to pay.
Personally I felt like we spent too much time chasing big companies because the business side always thought closing one would open many doors. We did close some big companies and the revenue was good, but it never really led to more business.

Seriously though this looks good. Every week I end up searching for either, "Is X gluten free" or "gluten free Y", followed by looking at nutrition labels on google images, hoping a company website actually lists something, or looking at 4 year old forum posts.
Few suggestions: - Can you do away with the load more button? just autoload on scroll. - Also maybe alphabetize the list, I clicked on cereal and it's just random. - The search seems strange, I put in Chex but it seems to match anything with 'Che*' - Also maybe have separate pages. Like, I want to click on cereal and then drill into the cereal products with search. It seems like there is just a master list and search works over that.

The program has it's pros and cons. People complain but they expect a top 5 CS education from an online program at OSU which isn't going to happen. Overall I learned a lot though and I found it better than attempts at learning through MOOCs, mostly because of the motivation behind paying.
