ARM server market 11 years ago

That is Scacleway's implementation, not so much a limitation of ARM. Have a look at Applied Micro based servers for something more "server" like..

An air gap is hardly a solution for traffic information the route planner HAS to talk to the computer responsible for getting from A to B. In the same way that firewalls are no longer particularly relevant, air gaps appear to be flawed now too, the only way to solve any security issue is better code quality..

Not really, just an auto-tiering hybrid array, next generation storage subsystems i.e. those leveraging NVRAM are where we will likely stop talking blocks and start talking bytes just like we do to DRAM today. To get the greatest benefit of NVRAM the entire IO stack needs overhauling.

I'm sure a significant contribution to this are NRI's purchasing from abroad where their earnings abroad give them greater power back home than in the local market. Whilst some people may rent out these properties thus serving that part of the market, others want to hang onto a new build / never lived in property. Some might say this is a form of insurance should they wish to move back, but its most likely just an investment that doesn't serve society.

And yes, this is very similar to investments made in London/New York/San Fran, but wealthy individuals trying to offshore their wealth, although these properties are typically rented out.
