It does, because motivation decides what that "something" in "something being done" is.

Rand Paul's party is by far the biggest supporter of NSA, TSA, and other TLAs. If he really wanted to change things, he could start by convincing his own party to stop fellating the NSA.

It's a nice gesture, but it won't 'fix' homelessness. There are some homeless who will stay that way; you can see them roaming around in packs. And then there are the mentally ill; they need medications and structure.

There's too much money to be made by the established people, so chances of fixing homelessness are negligible. It's a corrupt system.

Imagine C is like giving a wannabe tinkerer a knife; then C++ would be like giving him a knife, blowtorch, dremel.

With the C guy, you more or less know what kind of damage he can do, and what kinds of trouble he can get into. So you are able to look out for that.

The C++ guy, OTOH has exponentially more ways to cause damage.

Basically, both are tools, which, in the hands of a skilled artist, can do wonders. But in the hands of the inexperienced (99%), C++ is a lot more dangerous and complicated.

Question: I would love to have the following setup: a chromecast-style dongle running some emulator with a bunch of roms, plugged into the HDMI port of a tv; a couple of wifi controllers to play. Is it possible?
