I maintain a less featureful but easier to use and less janky Loom implementation as an Obsidian plugin: https://github.com/cosmicoptima/loom
(Why Obsidian? Because then I don't have to write a text editor from scratch, and because one can then combine it with other plugins. Also because I intended for this implementation to work on mobile, but getting the UX right for that is annoying so it isn't supported right now.)
davinci-002 is a good publicly available model to start with. Weaving takes practice if you want something very specific.

This means that NFTs still don't denote much without a centralized authority. Doesn't that defeat the point?
(That might not make them worthless, since value is socially constructed, but it makes the claims of decentralization seem less impressive.)
I often criticize designs for being overcomplicated. I wouldn't level that criticism towards this seal, though, and I don't have the skill to make it.
I would be interested in talking about it if you or anyone else came up with it. I find the seal very aesthetically pleasing.
It's possible to think that astrology is useful even if the positions of celestial bodies don't actually matter.

I said I use VSCode all the time, which I suspect is the reason I got access. (I never use VSCode.)

Not all of us are professional programmers, and especially not all of us are only professional programmers.
(And often when you ask people to be more forthcoming and give their formal definitions they wave their hands and say that software development is art not engineering and that it's about craftsmanship and beauty not cold, hard, unfeeling things like calculi, categories, or algebras)
I find it interesting that anyone would see these as mutually exclusive.
As far as I can tell - correct me if I'm wrong - management is just easier compared to (say) manual labor in a factory.
They're also paid more per expected hour.
What?
Why did you get in trouble? (That is, what was the stated reason)
Even with the example you mentioned - cmd+backspace 5 times vs. "5dd" - I'm surprised that you can't see why some people would prefer the latter. (Also, if you're on the last line, I think "4dk" works.)
It would be nice if the default keybindings were listed somewhere in the wiki. Did I miss them?
That's fair. I just sometimes get the sense that people equate being "logical" to being very hardheaded and skeptical, only preferring well-established solutions. There is nothing inherently illogical about trying experimental approaches; in many cases if they don't work you can just move on.
This isn't exactly that, though.
He considered himself a logical rationalist with a self-described “zero tolerance for woo-woo,” so when his search for social anxiety treatment lead him to a psychospiritual retreat center in Mexico, referred to him by Psychedelic Times, he felt completely out of his element.
I don't really understand how these things are connected.
This principle seems like it extends far beyond site traffic, especially since something like life satisfaction is much harder to measure.
Gwern found that placing banner ads on his site significantly decreased traffic: https://www.gwern.net/Ads
I'm not sure I'm following the analogy anymore.

"Feel impossible" is a pretty awkward way to say "experience learned helplessness".
Deeply understanding viewpoints that pose a direct threat to you takes a lot of effort. It takes time and mental resources. I don't think it is fair to expect that of everyone; activists, sure, but most people just want to live and feel safe. That is hard as is, especially for trans people.
