I say buy this child a pony. That balloon of his, while not as awesome as th one those MIT kids who flew into the outer atmosphere, is a stunning hack for a six year old. I hope my kids are that cool.

I haven't seen the movie, and I'm glad the offhand comment I made has spurned what I believe to be an important discussion (although I believe this is primarily due to Jerf's excellent essay), I consider the varieties of greed that capitalism rewards is properly attenuated by rewarding social responsibility and altruism via democracy. America's current economic troubles highlight the importance of looking out for yourself while not making pawns of others. I don't know of anyone who hasn't felt the stresses of this recession, but I think that those who were most effected by it were those who made a living by exploiting others, and I'd go so far as to say that the millionaires who lost small percentages of their fortunes lost because the greed came full circle.

hehe ;) Definitely take that baby back and get the store to figure out wtf happened. If it's either the optical drive or the subwoofer, my minimal knowledge of heat generation in electronics leads me to believe that those shouldn't be generating that much heat except from friction in in the drive or a short in the subwoofer.

I wonder if the fact that the key is now detached would lead a cynical genius(tm) to believe that the key was melted after it was removed?

I would like to see less generalized showtimes. That's gonna be a doozy of a task, I know, what with the time zone scheduling thing that I've never thought to look into too closely.

And really, for my purposes it's not necessary because I know most shows will be available online if I tune it at the wrong time.

For anyone who, like me, watches just a few shows on a regular basis, this is the perfect program guide.

My comment was primarily tongue in cheek, but the grease monkey idea is excellent. The organization of your site is like eztv _in the future_ crazy future hands, and I'm using it daily to keep track of if I need to turn on the tv and/or head over to eztv.
