I love custom handheld computer projects like this.

Few years ago I wanted to build one as a hobby/toy project with parts that are more or less easily available. So I did [0]. Instead of using a pre-made keyboard I used simple push buttons and instead of specialized keyboard controller I used an Atmega328P. Most of the components are through-hole and easy to solder. Anyway, the couple of the handhelds I built are sitting in a drawer at home, but it was fun building it nevertheless.

In GNU Guix declaring the license(s) of a package is mandatory so it kinda automates the process of creating SBoM.

Depends where in Europe. I'd say in Northern Europe, especially in Scandinavia wood is more frequently used when building homes.

In other places the roof structure is often made of wood. And although technically it's not part of the building, concrete forms used for foundation/walls are mostly made of OSB/plywood.

Why should that matter? I'm sure the percentage would be way smaller if this was the license used initially.

It's always nice to have more alternatives to traditional unix tools/commands, especially these new tools written in Rust that are popping up.

The website claims exa is a "modern replacement for ls", but unlike ls it doesn't seem to follow the "do one thing" unix concept - the git integration is one reason why. I'm not sure the git integration is a good idea.

GNU Guix can do that. You can describe [1] the system in Guile Scheme and you can install a system or create a virtual machine image from that configuration.
