So, the second of your ideas is the correct interpretation. In my real layman's take of the timeline it went as such:

1) First report says Aspartame potentially bad.

2) Second report says, yeah, pretty sure Aspartame bad and going to go on the naughty list.

3) Third report comes out contradicting the previous reports, says everything is okie dokie artichokie.

The third report is the one being linked to a Coca-Cola front group.

VW software is anything but satisfactory if car reviewers and car owners are anything to go by.

I had several Blackberry devices but the one I remember the most was my Blackberry 10. I still think it had superior gesture support and navigation compared to any phone I've used since then. And it had, at least from what I could tell, great build quality and sturdiness. All around a great device. And it allowed me to support an underdog competitor.

The new teamspeak application is clearly targeting Discord and I'll be happy to see some competition. I like the differences in the UI that are visible in their demo screenshots and the ability to host my own server would be nice.

The biggest difficulty teamspeak is going to face is that users are now firmly entrenched in discord, just as twitch users are firmly entrenched in that product. Why would users switch? I am certainly going to try out the new TS and see how it fares because I just like trying out all of my options before settling on one. Quite a few others that I know would largely prefer to just stay put though.

For me personally I only ever used WhatsApp very lightly with a few work friends. After all of the recent news surrounding the app I sent a message saying I plan on leaving the app soon.

I wish it were easier to switch apps like this but it makes sense that they wouldn't want that to be the case.

I’m fortunate to have pretty good teeth (or so claim my dentists) but this is great to see developments in. There is the long-standing piece of advice that many people give of “take care of your teeth” and for many people that’s just an out-of-reach option either monetarily or genetically. For folks in the future to be able to care for their teeth despite damage would be great. And if teeth can be cared for such that the need for dentures is removed then people would not need to face the issues associated with using those either.

I find this whole series of events to be fascinating. I'm also very interested in what Ghosn has to say on the 8th. I have only read briefly on Japan's prison system and from what I understand it assumes guilt.

It's hard to infer what might have happened. Leading up to his arrest in Japan there were mentions that he had treated his co-officers in a "un-Japanese" way and was suspected to have lead to his being targeted to be removed.

It's also interesting how this how debacle has caused Nissan to suffer. It really seems like Nissan was about to turn around their design and car interiors (the new Maxima, Altima, Sentra, and Versa have gotten big boosts) and then this hits them hard.

I hope Nissan pulls through and I hope the truth about Ghosn comes out.

I hope that Artifact isn't abandoned by Valve and they spend time to update (refactor?) the game to make it more enjoyable. I never even had the chance to play because the narrative surrounding the game was so murky and then everything fell apart.

I was and still am excited to play it but not until it's ready. On the other hand Valve's team making Underlords is doing a very good job. Valve still has passion and talent.

I would be quite let down with the pay range you have mentioned.

The merger may have helped the companies technologically but from my naive perspective it seems like what each of the companies need more than anything is a stronger QA department. From what I hear about Renault they are a little shoddy and I know from personal experience the level of quality from Jeep/dodge/ram/Chrysler.

Also, typically most companies only want to buy Jeep when looking at FCA because it’s the real money maker from what I hear. I wonder if a merger would ultimately lead to companies like Chrysler being shuttered due to redundancy. That’d be a big loss of jobs.

And on another side note it’s intriguing to think about a company that would have spanned four countries and how so many different personalities and cultures would have been able to work together.

My project (that I'm currently trying to get away from) is a large project that has been cobbled together over many years from many different teams both internal and external.

In the beginning everything was done to get something shippable and now that the project has shipped it is a monolithic monstrosity. Several devs have made an effort to infuse unit testing into the project but they always fizzled out because estimated dev time never included testing and so if a crunch happens now then the first thing that is dropped is the testing effort. I have learned a lot from my project however it's a lesson in how not to do things.

I will say that code reviews are heavily enforced. So we at least have that.

They will attack Google for bundling Google services with their OS and yet all I want is stock Android free from OEM apps (Samsung please).
