Church used to hold more sway with people in forming communities. When at its best, it provides a safe place for strengthening relationships, celebrating the community's successes and mourning with the time calls for it. If you are lonely, try a church regardless of your spiritual beliefs. You are always welcome at mine!

There is an unmeasurably large amount of suffering due to cancer. Not just from the people that have directly experienced it. Watching helplessly as it consumes the bodies and minds of your loved ones is devastating. Its likely that someone expressing that sentiment has dealt with that fallout. My heart goes out to them.

FTA "To fly a parabola takes 3 pilots working in concert. Two pilots sit in front of the control columns and a third sits in the center jump seat to manage the engines. When flying a parabola, one pilot is responsible for the pitch of the aircraft and the other for the roll. The pilot responsible for the roll of the aircraft actually has a modified control column in order to put as little pressure on the yoke as possible, allowing the pitch pilot to focus on the correct parabola timing." I think precise timing requires many pilots. Lots to keep track of in the name of science.

Such an interesting, orthogonally-aligned set of game ideas. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I feel like I've been playing 'your game' my whole life!

As a married husband (almost 20 yrs) and father of five kids, allow me to share some wisdom. Spouse time is vital to a healthy, strong, vibrant, lasting relationship. Reddit doesn't care about you like your spouse does. And kids grow up way too fast. Treasure every moment.

My father was gifted a 1972 Buick Regal. I was asked to drive it on I-85 (interstate) During acceleration on the onramp, the cable controlling the throttle got stuck and the gas was flowing into the carb and UA continued to occur. I was reaching speeds in excess of 100 MPH (160 Kmph). The brakes did nothing to slow me me down. My wife, driving adjacent to me in another vehicle, thought I was showboating or just being wreckless. I had to kill the engine with the key, slow down, and then crank the car, begin accelerating, then kill the engine to 'manage' the vehicle until I could get off the interstate. Terrifying ordeal.

I eliminated food cravings in perhaps an unorthodox method. It wasn't my intention, but I am better off for it I believe. I started with a 72 hour fast (water only). After that, I had a bite of a steamed carrot and the experience immediately after tasting the carrot was the biggest natural high of my life. It was like my brain dumped every pleasure producing chemical into my bloodstream. I started to focus on healthy veggies and fish/chicken with small servings of nuts and avocados. I lost 20 pounds (so far) and don't craze processed sugars like I have in the past. When you stop eating a lot of sugar, the gut biome bacteria chlamydia starves I think, and you are much healthy for it.

Its not just the tea. She's got needs that aren't being met. Best advice is to reflect back what she has said to try to understand what needs of hers aren't being met." Perhaps to your wife you could say the following 'Are you feeling angry because you have the need for more say in our relationship?

This book has and continues to change the way I communicate with others. Its sitting on my desk now. Empathy and Honesty, what a beautiful dance.

I find serving other people helps me get out of my own headspace and alleviates negative feelings. There is something about helping someone that edifies and enlightens both parties. Look for ways to serve in your community.
