This is the real issue. If you “fall” to heroin it’s not economically viable to help you get up. The cost per success is in the millions of dollars and even success is a pretty degrading state of existence. It’s not like insurance people who fall never paid in, it happens too often for that or charity care. It’s just not possible to treat everyone

Singapore has been successful so clearly we’re doing it wrong and focusing on the wrong things.
How can someone pushing themselves to the limit of heroin od have anything sustainable.
Singapore has no drug problems. You might think what they do is extreme but it works.
How many of those are really left anyway but yeah the pr is bad
Loss carry over system is messed up right not definitely needed
By using as collateral you realized the gains because they became tangible and usable.
Germany takes it too far. Every industry is regulated and licensed. It takes 2 years to call yourself a baker. It’s not a good system.
If you have to regulate industries institute a proficiency test and allow different levels of expertise. A plumber or electrician for home repair is a totally different level of complexity to one in industrial applications but it’s the same certification. The guy doing wiring in my house just does not need that level of education and I don’t really want to pay for it.
Idk wtf architects optimize for. Some sort of truisms about what buyers want and builder cost I think because a lot of houses are designed really poorly.
Meh what’s another bad apple on the internet there are so many already
No it’s not good. The lower the barrier to every the better. More ability to choose the level of quality work you desire. A handyman for bill gates is going to be a complete different class than one for the roach motel but it’s still good if the roach motel can get one.
What’s so good about imitation foods? Change my mind… m
I’m all for vegan food but if you do that it’s got to be vegan first, not over processed animal product imitations. Vegan patties are not healthy and barely ok, vegan cheese is one of the nastiest things I’ve ever eaten. But you can absolutely make a vegan soup, salad, pasta, bread, mushroom dish etc that is amazing, it’s just hard because all the ingredients need to shine.
Being able to cut out the dealer allows you to under cut your competitors by 2-5K. It’s extremely hard to compete with that. Other manufacturers need to take notice and follow suit.
Recently I had them fail to deliver a 10$ item, flag it in their system as a delivery failure notify me that the failure occurred and then still not give me a refund and tell me that they are doing me a favor by refund it. The service quality really Turing to poop. In December they basically done guarantee delivers either anymore so between that and the sea of counterfeits I only make 5-10$ item orders from them where the delivery costs more than the item.
I bought it later and it was a good value they really did a lot with it. Honestly if they just did some better writing on the scripted stuff it could have been quite a bit better even if they changed nothing about how anything actually played
Punish people for not chord cutting
Old electronics of that era could be drawn by a simple schematic and usually only performed one or 2 functions. That makes designing a drop in replacement very easy.
Bathesda has been trending down pretty badly. Fallout 4 was the point their games tipped and started to be very meh.
What games are your other 4?
Simply of old designs is often a blessing as long as the drawing and documentation is readable and good. It can be hard to get replacement electronics for 1970s designs so sometimes you have to design new components but the functionality was relatively simple back then so it’s possible to build a 1:1 replacement
I think you are correct. Because the pay is so miserable the talent pool is mostly vba developing engineers from inside the company. Because of that they can’t hire good technical leads that know or can enforce good practices or design good architecture. The result is a giant mess of software in trains planes and automobiles
I have had zero problems with Apple Podcasts that just seem to work. Spotify is just kind of a mess.
Apple Music still needs work but it’s ok for the price
How about I just want to win but I don’t want it enough to grind hard because the juice isn’t worth the squeeze in many competitive things with no rewards for winning except a small rush
It’s mostly the binary approach to achieving. Schools either get at grade level or not at grade level. So the goal is to get to the bare minimum to pass as many students as possible, not to create the highest total achievement
With falling interest rates it was possible to burn money in a furnace and still show an accounting profit on your operation. That’s how screwed up the incentives were
This is the way. Singapore math and Russian math programs have exploded in popularity due to school failure.
True
It’s somewhat useful to brainstorm, it really helps with the empty page problem but it’s not good and the resultant nudge could be in a very generic direction. Instead of promoting creativity it pushes you toward sameness.
It depends on how it’s implemented. Maybe you could train mmo npcs in this and make it fun but I agree I expect this to simply generate a dumpster fire experience
