I think IPv4 has this same problem with multihoming and doesn't try to solve it with a uniform representation but IPv6 had more than enough bits to reserve combinations of interface index and LL address for system use and make the system zero the interface index on send.
In what sense is a local interface identifier a valid element of a UNIVERSAL resource locator? Not being able to specify an internal network of the client would have been a nicer feature than having a way to do it.
I don't think it was misguided; Nuland-Pyatt leak and the tapping of Merkel's phone made it pretty clear to me that like in the Yeltsin years the problem was that the US didn't want Russia/Europe ties to succeed.
A small minority using this face recognition to identify the right people to complain at whenever they are in public should sort this out.
The browser might be the definitive problem with Microsoft, but really their shitty office tools is a bigger drain on the world economy. Teams is fundamentally incapable of handling something as simple as showing the correct alerts (activity? or who the hell knows since nothing has anything to do with new messages to the user) and there's hardly a B2B company in the world that will risk not losing business by running a different tool than other people running this trash.
A US tech company is probably not trying to limit themselves by arming government to declare their product a munition but they do want to limit Chinese access to technology and markets.
