I'm curious to hear about your work geometric optics with PyTorch. May I ask you to share some examples of something you are working on right now?
I think the best compromise would be to get the best of two words. By default perform bound checks, but have a compiler flag which skips it. Might broke many programs written with default behaviour in mind, but allow perform additional optimizations.

To machine. It just easier to be polite by default than split our language into two forms "I speak to human" and "I speak to machine". Because the chat interface is really close to what we see when we speak to human. Well, exactly the same.

I used to observe the increased sensetivity to noise during my epresssion periods. Observe the same problems also with bright light. What may actually help here is psychologist / psychiatrist and therapy or medication. I'm not a doctor and maybe your problem not related to yours, but I just wanted to share the direction which helped me to decrease sound sensetivity.
But ones you are in company which does it right you start appreciate all good things it brings.

I have the sad feeling that this article is reinventing what is already well described, in unambiguous and accepted terms. Here I see a reinvention of terms, meanings, notations, which will make it harder for those who will use it through third-party libraries or try to understand it more deeply. I tried to find anything available by a simple google search.... and couldn't find it.
