Jorge Luis Borges and the Labyrinths of Copyright 3 years ago
Just made an account to comment on this. Maria Kodama was a witch. She ended publication of the English translations which Borges collaborated with Di Giovanni on because she didn't like the 50-50 royalties agreement, which Borges had wanted. When Di Giovanni posted his translations to his personal website (gratis) after they were no longer in print, she threatened to sue. Now we all have to look around for old editions or settle for a new translation without Borges' blessing or input because she wanted more money.
Honestly they should nullify the marriage, take all the shit she got from him and put it in a museum or trust. She was the worst thing to happen to his literary legacy.
