I would actually want that but all the existing implementations are slow, with poor support and none of them provides the smooth experience we can have on a dedicated desktop pc or laptop. Dex is just laughable. Ubuntu touch never took off.

edit: it finally became available a bit later

Nitrokey 6 years ago

I’ve also begun using trezor for the same purpose and from security standpoint it is even better. Onscreen pin code is required and a tap on the screen with the exact info on what service is trying to log in.

Yep. Also way more convenient to connect to modern android smartphones.

Unlike some competitors, Nitrokey contains a complete and standard compliant USB plug. This ensures thousands of insertions without connectivity issues.

Here I am waiting for a Type-C from them. Yet they claim that’s a good thing. What utter bullshit.

I use a ubiquiti switch. I've decided to build my network with PoE in mind and one central location to power it all, backed up by a UPS.

Protect it how exactly? You can create firewall rules on DigitalOcean and limit the IP addresses from which the DNS server is accessible.

I do it on a PoE powered raspberry pi. Minimal effort, zero maintenance, no fees other than the initial purchase.

OpenWrt 19.07 7 years ago

I've just installed openwrt on mikrotik hap ac router. Damn that thing is nice. The UI is way more user friendly and expandable. Built-in pi-hole analog (adblock) works just fine, wpa3 support is also there. And all that is installed in just a few clicks.

Doesn't really seem that difficult. The patterns of picking up a phone, running with it and having it just lay on a vibrating surface are very different. It would be particularly easy to spot panic during a usual running routine.
