Mind sharing the excel?

So where’s the meal plan app? ... I had similar idea and started with a spreadsheet, I havnt finished yet but thought the problem was interesting and would like to see how you solved it. My idea was to have a list of recipes that you pick for a meal plan and the app would output the grocery list.

Has a forum, has a curriculum, hits on computer knowledge students might have gaps in, uses github, is open source, etc. glitch is a cool way to do a full stack demo but you need to go through some learning on your own first I think and FCC is the best free tool there is

I wish I had a good word to describe my gratitude for this post! I've though reverse dictionary could work but doesn't. Another dictionary I would love to have access to is one where you can find words in other languages that don't exist in yours.

The general advice I've seen is to not host your own server. But I think it would be a great learning experience. If you cover the basics, is your server still extremely vulnerable?

I've only dealt with one in my life because I've mostly sublet. And they screwed me. It could have been worse but I learned my lesson to not give them any room for taking advantage of you. Take pictures, do a walk through etc. Now I'll search for reviews of the company and mostly they are all terrible. And then you see a little of it when you deal with the people through the process. And start to imagine writing your own terrible review in the future and just wish a good person would take you in and give you a safe place to live.

Just spent a month looking for a studio or one bedroom below $1200. Plenty of ok options and a couple better than ok. All apartments came with the threat of a scary property management company. Finally we found an artsy owner with an attic and After waiting two weeks for our background check to pass for a studio we were approved but had already signed a lease for he attic. Pretty stressful process. Mostly because the paranoia of dealing with shady property managers. If I was a Stanford MBA I'd start a nation wide property management firm that focus on ethics and does shit right. Housing fellow hard working citezens should be an honor and done with good morals. And to think how much harder it is for somebody just even a little bit worse off than me...

Wow. You just brought me on a time machine. I had forgotten what search used to be like. I would remember likeing the old Internet for its wierd brutalist web design and anonymity but didn't think about how I found the wierd sites using search. It would awesome if a search engine existed that only found these niche sites and filtered out all the mumbojumbo. Don't know how it would work, maybe train it with a dataset of sites? Someone with more Internet know how should make this for us. Thanks

Hey, this is a bit tangental but since you mention building enterprise SPAs I'll guess your experience will be able to help me. So, I'm not as experienced but can get around to learning any code and as I need to start building a portfolio I dove in again to build one. But things were breaking and I couldn't get rolling as fast I thought and although for a longer term bigger project I would spend the time tweaking I want to get something up fast and thought that I need to use a simpler tool. So, I'm curious what to you use to build your SPAs? What's the process like for you? Thanks
