if its powered by hype and hyperbole, and not concrete ideas, should work fine... wait, no, a paradigm shift, amazing, revolutionary.
this is silly, python is used by some of the biggest number crunchers on earth ... as glue code. If you dont like the dual language paradigm and want fast code go learn fortran.
i believe it also does not have as many features as btrfs etc
just join kde, its a huge umbrella organisation. kmail and akonadi need some serious code love :)
im not sure the drifter-bro-waster life of idle leisure is that satisfying. Your telling me people at the top of their careers, yan le cun (deep learning etc) are not having constructive, exiting, shared, social fun? you think hans zimmer has an isolated boring life? stress in any case has more to do with context and attitude than it has to do with the profession you practice.
industry perspective (emphasis mechanical/civil/electrical):
degree < 2 years experience: training/require supervision
degree 2 < 5 years: experienced, capable, get responsibility
degree > 5 years: lead positions/expert (if narrow focus)
so i would say degree + 2 years you can say 'engineer' (without training wheels)
