I've used tubair before and liked it, also will use your application but I wish you could have user voted results rise to the top. For example neither site shows the user the best version of the "The doors" song 'the end' because the best version on youtube is the clip from Apocalpse now. the studio probably cleaned it up when they made the movie. Also would like an application like this that could work with the screen off so I can use it on mobile phone. Thanks!

The real point is that now the mobile worker doesn't have to carry a phone + a large microscope. The mobile phone is continuing to replace more and more objects. Radio, tv, camerea, video, internet browser, and now microscope. Many more devices will be adapted to take advantage of the phones computation capability as well as things like GPS, internet etc. BTW, if that mobile health worker has to make a choice between purchasing a microscope and purchasing a phone, they are probably going to purchase the phone.

It looks to me like GOOG FB and Apple are trying to get to video calls and own them before the phone companies wake up and realize how valuable their own social graph is. So far the carrier's have had a gold mine and wasted the opportunity.

I prefer web apps and open standards as well, but I think another "feature" in this case is that users don't have to have an app labelled "playboy" on their phone. My kid is always grabbing my phone to see pictures or play a game. I won't ever download a playboy app! Lots of guys have wives that would be offended as well.

I could see this being really useful if it could message a javascript event bus. Maybe use it for deciding when to synch browser data with server data or to modulate the messaging between different users browsers. The statelessness of http creates many timing related problems.

On a side note: when is one of these big companies going to release a really advanced "jquery for webkit" that forgets about the browser incompatibilities and focuses on building a virtual operating system in the browser? Google, Apple, Netflix? Anyone?

I have been using the 11" for a couple of months now. I also love it but I am more productive at a real desktop with large screen and large keyboard. I have never seen the apple logo shine through the screen. Take that unit back for a replacement.
