I think this may be much more than Operas method. Note that it includes formatting, layout and display. This makes me think they essentially run a clone of the browser on ec2 and could literally swap in the completed Dom, and layout. Or even a a memory diff. Having a persistent connection would also allow local events (clicks etc) to be sent back to mirror the state as you interact with the page.
