It has happened to all image uploaders in history, and it will keep happening forever, since image uploaders are 1) a money-losing business (people will flee as soon as you stop hotlinking) and 2) have no real value (how much time does it take you to write an image uploader? probably one of the first things you do when you're learning to code for the web)

I agree with you. I think the site caters mostly to children and young teenagers. Most popular videos, those shown on the home page, are of guys talking to a camera loudly and making silly jokes about videogames and current events, or very bad pop music.

It's sad to admit it but I avoid youtube whenever I can.
That only happens with a handful of words: those that 1) are feminine and 2) their first syllable begins with an "a" and 3) their first syllable is stressed.
It's similar to English which uses "an" instead of "a", but it happens very very very rarely.
(Needless to say, "águila" and "ala" ARE feminine nouns, what's changing here is the determiner so the two a's don't clash, not the gender of the nouns)
It's really easy, because "keyboard" is "teclado" which ends with o (so it's masculine) while "rock" is "roca" which ends with a (so it's feminine). :)
What's so bad about gendered nouns? They are quite useful, especially when the language allows you to omit the noun and leave only a pronoun, or maybe the entire subject altogether.

The alternative, in my experience, is that our government spends millions in creating a fork of Ubuntu, which is just regular Ubuntu with a different default set of packages, a custom background, and maybe one or two misc utilities (think of a disk formatter, etc) written in PyGTK which fucking suck.
Obviously, after a few years, they get tired of that rubbish distro, and go back to Microsoft.
Not to mention the fines the state has to pay when school teachers and other civil servants install Windows without licences and get caught.
So, yes, better if they just keep using fucking Windows.
I completely disagree with losing weight "costing nothing". A good diet is usually more expensive than a bad diet. Preparation also requires more time, which is money. Education on what you have to eat, how to cook it, etc. is money too. Exercise requires free time, which is money too. Hence why poor people have higher levels of obesity.
In Europe, generally, 1) webmasters are usually responsible of the comments left in their webpages by their users, and 2) webmasters have to make clear what their names and addresses are.
Myself, sometimes I've thought of creating a forum or a community, only to be turned away when I think of that. Do you think 4chan would have ever existed if moot had had to put his real name and address there, and if he was legally responsible of what people published in 4chan? Impossible.
So all online communities will always be concentrated in the US, at least for the foreseeable future. :(
