"How long can a country endure if it continues to cripple learning, muzzle truth and persecute some of its most talented and capable individuals in the name of childish, incoherent ideology? Not long"

Are you talking about modern "wokeness" or are you talking about the while history of the United States as a primarily Christian state? Because I still feel more crippled, muzzled, and persecuted by us Christian morality/ideology than any recent up surgance in "wokeness".

What are the benefits to updating frontend packages. Are there security vulnerabilities that I should be worrying about if most of my npm dependecies dont get updated.

Im not so sure your right that its a god of the gaps argument. What faith do you have in gravity. Obviously you trust that physics is the law of our universe. Deifying those laws isnt claiming that god is in the gaps of scientific knowledge, infact its suggesting that "god" is the laws illuminated by scientific processes themselves.

I certainly have faith in physics...

What's fun about crypto is that as soon as criminals try to move their wealth into these digital assets, they start creating a long lasting auditable trail of bread comes for investigators and prosecuters. These systems are up for running complex data analysis on, with the false promises of tax evasion and anonymity, these networks will act as a honey pot. If I can I'll try to find a report written by a former head of a federal law enforcement department (I think CIA) that goes deeper into it.

"Culture is what the losers of history cling to because their way turned out to be a worse way."

Or maybe its a sign that winners couldn't completely eradicate it because it occupies a niche in a more optimal way than the winner. Infact, we have seen winning cultures fail while the niched "loser" culture maintains, only to thrive after the downfall of the temporary winner.
