Do people actually ask this. I can't understand if it should be, "What the the mutable keyboard 'do'". I'm not sure of any mutable keywords by the name of "do". Or did you mean "What does the 'mutable' keyword do". Again, I'm not familiar with any popular programming languages with the keyword mutable. If they are just asking for the definition of mutability, that seems a strange question for a technical interview.

From my experience most of these interviews at these big tech companies have these kind of questions. And they suffer from having inexperienced engineers conducting the interviews. I think this is a big, untalked about problem with regard to why tech companies have such a lack of talent.

The point is when people talking about breaking DRM, they aren't necessarily doing something illegal. There are a lot of legitimate reasons for breaking DRM that don't violate the law. It would be completely ridiculous for stack overflow to ban discussion on this topic altogether.

If the comment is meant to mean that if everyone had the entrepreneurial drive the whole house of cards would crumble down, I still think that is misguided. The distribution of the success of businesses is somewhat similar to the distribution of programming skill among developers. There are many that are in the low mid range. There are very few that are light years ahead of 90% of the other developers.

Pretty much all recent functional languages deal with oo programming by using multimethods and namespaces. This takes care of the problem you're talking about in a beyer way than most oo languages.

There are some real smart people that don't have business savvy or street smarts. Its easy to get locked into a big dumb corporation that doesn't recognize talent. You could spend a long time in a place like that and not realize your potential. After all, most kids still go through college and work at "safe" jobs.

Humans have evolved to trust those fewer edges separating them in their social graph more than those with more edges.

I don't really see the point of having a watch nowadays. I usually just look at my phone for the time. This watch seems to do some of the stuff a standard smartphone does, but is more limited. At this point in my life, I'm trying to do what I can to limit the number of various gadgets I carry around on my person. I would rather have a small little device that does everything pretty well, than 50 devices I have to lug around that do everything perfect.

In a sense its similar to using your computer instead of a television. You can access more interesting internet videos online, and usually don't have to watch commercials because of ad blocking software. You can play video games on your computer instead of using a console. Your computer could hook up to a projector or HD Television as needed. You can read books on your computer. You can call people on your computer. You can IM/Email/Facebook on your computer. I think the future will be far fewer devices that can do a whole lot more. This watch seems like a step into the past.

I agree. I keep hearing comments about Nokia being late to the game... blalballba ...if they decided to use android instead of WP7. I don't see how that is an issue. As has been stated by Nokia, this is going to take 1-2 years to make the switch to WP7. Why don't they spend 1/2 of that time switching to a popular platform instead of an unpopular platform. I guess I'd have to be an ex Microsoft employee (like the CEO) to understand any of this zaniness.

I've been watching the blendtuts videos. My game only uses basic models since I want to support older generation handsets, so I'm not making use of any of the advanced blender features. But, it has been well worth the effort learning Blender. Its really a great tool.

I've been using blender for models in the android game I'm making. Don't see a reason to spend $ 40 when there is a fantastic open source alternative. Kind of like buying windows server instead off just using linux.

I'm hoping they make one that eats humans. That would be a fine piece of furniture to put on my mantle. I wonder if you were to breed organisms, would they be able to produce a plentiful amount of energy for our electrical grids. I'm not necessarily talking about humans. I never really had a problem with the universal back button. The app development on Android is very similar to web development. I'm used to using the back button often on my browser, it seems only natural to do it on my phone as well.

Companies that put up facebook pages are just doing it because its easy and there is no cost associated with it. Nobody is depending on it and nobody will care much about it when the next big platform comes along.

That seems to be the main problems with these metrics. They aren't looking at the popular libraries that make use of the language. If I search "Android OpenGL development" it should count as a query directed at Java. This survey doesn't seem to do that though.
