From the 2018 Wired article "Jeff Bezos Wants Us All to Leave Earth - for Good"

Also, is there a term for this kind of weird corporate anecdote? Why are these so common in the business world lol

I used to believe that games were an art form - but I just can't get behind them being completely on par with books, etc.

The writing is often so terrible... I wish I could think of a single video game that touched me like The Brothers Karamazov or Les Miserables.

Political correctness such as this is exactly why the good people in my home country suffer the most.

I think it might be income inequality that makes the good people in your home country suffer the most - but I don't want to assert this because I'm (probably) not from your home country and don't know it quite like you do.

I think I kind of understand the Truth that you're getting at - from a similar point of view, aren't artists usually particular about the medium that their art is presented in? because the medium can cause the work of art to have a different effect on the audience. [1]

In any case, it's certainly no substitute for the real thing (but I'm sure everyone kind of understands that).

Not to mention paper has a recycling rate of ~68%! [1] I'm just not sure if more energy is consumed by (1) a computer/tablet using a word processor or (2) manufacturing and recycling the equivalent amount of paper. Then there's also the matter of what type of electricity is used to power the computer or manufacture/recycle the paper (eg. hydroelectric, natural gas, etc). Wish there was a way to track all of this...

Meth is different from amphetamine (unless you were just being hyperbolic - in which case, I'm sorry for being pedantic lol).

Made me laugh but you have a good point, really. Something less anecdotal: it's easier to ignore hunger.

This article is so well written - I watched the videos they were talking about and it wasn't nearly as exciting. I just want Jacob Sweet to describe videos to me now.
