I was amazed that the site still runs, apparently still using the same engine.
But it seems that it was a flash site (of course), and archive.org seems to replace Flash Player with "Ruffle" [1]. Either that, or someone of Tobin's team replaced Flash with Ruffle >= 2019.
Starting a comment with «yawn» immediately shows dismissal of and disrespect for the person you're replying to.

Our company was targeted by Oracle Sales because they detected mere _downloads_ from our IP range. They couldn't prove any installations, but of course wanted the company to pay for commercial licenses.
Im not sure about the details, but in the end I think we bought a couple of licences & then blocked all URLs for the extension pack company-wide.
This works great for password resets.
It does not work if you actually want to send emails, for instance notifications.
Instinctively applying Pascal case, maybe?

Two days ago, I've tried to create an account tied only to an email. During account creation, the wizard suddenly inserted an additional step and required my to enter a phone number.
I realise though that this is possibly an anti-spam measure (which I'm in favour of), since I've connected through Tor when creating the account. But this procedure stands in stark contrast to the advise given in the article.
We use Quill, too, we only need rudimentary features, though.
Its maintenance status is... questionable, although my information is out of date (see last paragraph).

To be fair: development seems to have picked up again. There were sporadic commits at the end of 2021, and I now see that there are a few this year, too.
Please provide some context, instead of just dumping an URL.
My guess is that the graphical designers are to blame for this – and of course whatever PM signed off on that.

While I can understand their reasons for shutting Upsource down, I think the very same reason will prevent users from migrating to their preferred tool-suite ("Space" [1]): users of Upsource very likely already _have_ existing tools for hosting repositories, communicating, issue tracking, etc. It seems strange to me to expect people would abandon their existing toolchain in favour of Space, just to keep using Upsource.
This is called "dark mode" nowadays, and it's a feature.
Let me assure you that not all European developers have such generous conditions.

This is the key point. I can imagine being a farmer is a lot more nerve wracking if e.g. bad whether destroys your year's harvest – for the third time in a row.
If you're financially secure, any job is less stressful, regardless whether you're self employed or not.
The Windows 95 ".chm" help pages [1] were basically HTML pages, displayed in an application embedding Internet Explorer. IIRC this lead to login exploits (since the login screen was able to show help pages).

I guess (and I have no way to verify this, it's really just a guess) that the number of developers that worked on the Windows code base in its 35 year history is in the same order, if not higher.
There's https://www.strawberrymusicplayer.org/, a fork of Clementine, apparently created due to Clementine's inactivity. I've used it on and off on MacOS, but had some nasty locks which crashed the application.
But speaking of Clementine: I'm amazed that development seems to have picked up again, commits are happening on Github ( https://github.com/clementine-player/Clementine) Last time I checked the repo it was silent.
Stuff like this is the reason why I, as a non-american software engineer, use `US_en` layouts on all my machines.

I'm not disagreeing, but just because something uses more memory does not mean it's slower per se.
There isn’t anyone popping over my shoulder, and general interruptions are almost nil in my case. I think a lot of people are going to be super surprised what a quiet room and your playlist of choice can do to increase productivity. Just my 2 cents.
It's the same for me – at home, and the opposite at the office. I live alone.
