I think the end goal of Amazon is to replace these employees with bot and to automate manual labour work. Until then all this is just ways to delay the unionization as much as possible.

In India the advice that I receive mostly these days is to find someone who works at the company you want to interview at and ask him to refer you. Apparently this is much better method than applying through job portals and linked in.

One thing I can suggest is to switch to business news instead. Business news is more inclined to give all the facts rather than give an opinion on things. Also looking at things from a business perspective is usually much more neutral and you learn a lot more. Regardless of this you shouldn't be consuming news on TV anyway.

Maybe an unpopular opinion here but I am finding HN to be more and more like Reddit everyday. I normally only read HN articles that have atleast 500 points or more and have notifications setup for it. In the past I used to get only 1 or 2 notifications a week. Now I get atleast 4 a day. I find it hard nowadays to keep up.

It will take forever to build up a similar ecosystem in Europe and I think most successful European entrepreneurs will just end up starting companies in the US instead.

This is what you are wrong about. It would be true if you were from a small country like Sri Lanka or similar but for EU many European companies will smell an opportunity to fill the void.

So could this be because of 5G because if I remember right the latest 5G roll out caused a lot of problems for airlines?

This is a contentious point especially for software engineering jobs as the salary is supposed to be based on performance as there is no obvious benefit to being in the same geographic location.

In India all business communications are moving to WhatsApp because everyone uses it. Even if you switch to other platforms you will be forced to use WhatsApp for business communications.

I guess the problem today is nobody can be bothered to maintain sites for different browsers. Today I see most websites work well only in chrome.

Knowing a language or a tool doesn't mean you will always know the best or the smartest way to do something. This is not necessarily a test of your programming ability. And best practise is more often ever changing. Almost every language or tool is always ever changing and improving itself which best practise also keeps evolving.

Secondly you don't necessarily need to know or master a language or tool for every kind of work. You can just choose to learn as you go along with it, in which case knowing how to search and use the most effective way to do something is very useful.

Almost everyone does search like that, its not about doing something but about finding best and easiest way to do something.

I guess this means they are already doing this in secret. I wonder if private browsing even works at this point. Make sense to move out of google for those searches.

Do we even know if someone had the account deleted? I think facebook might have their hands full right now solving the issue rather than looking at social media posts that discusses the issue.
