Dear Bob, in case it helps FYI both the book's website http://craftinginterpreters.com/ and your blog https://journal.stuffwithstuff.com/ seem down right now.
And if anyone was curious like me to see the book's website, here is a archive link: https://web.archive.org/web/20220616005500/http://www.crafti...
I think that "The closest you can get to Qubes on Windows" is what https://www.hysolate.com/ are building
The OLAP "Analytics DB" looks interesting https://www.alibabacloud.com/product/analytic-db
Wonder what OLAP features it providers above the managed & massively-parallel SQL like in BigQuery
another problem with gopkg.in it uses only the major version number and you can't import a specific minor version. what if version 2.5 works great but 2.6 breaks something for you? you can't use pkg.in until this issue is resolved in 2.7 .. and most package authors don't want to bump the major version on every change ..
What motivates me personally is not that I think Google Postgres will be better than RDS (which is great for us so far), but because I want to move to GCP for other reasons (pricing, better UI & cli, GKE, BigQuery) and the managed Postgres RDS was the only thing that was important enough to keep us on AWS
Thank you!
I actually just discovered http://redash.io/ thanks to this announcement, it looks really useful - will try it ASAP
Good luck with your future endeavours!
I managed to disable the browser MITM without disabling the whole functionalities: Settings -> Active Protection -> Web Shield Customize -> uncheck 'HTTPS scanning'
