It would probably not be an issue if it was just plastic. The problem is most plastics contain other chemicals. Many are harmful like BPA or flame retardants. And the these plastics are recycled with their chemicals and made into new plastics and more chemicals, etc…
Many have forgotten why we used the internet in the first place. The original promise of the internet was to become independent from media/science/gov monopolies. In the end FAANG (like most popular websites) is a great product, but just the same as before. It's centralized, hackable, has economies of scale, etc.
Weird point of view when most tech and engineering is used to generate political instability, misinformation and vote suppression. In the case of coinbase I wouldn’t be surprise if the « amazing engineering » is mostly used for tax evasion or to by-pass politic finance laws, corruption laws etc...
These are in the hospital. What’s the IFR ounce the hospital is saturated and won’t help you survive? Probably much higher than 3%.
More hate towards the media and always saying the media is guilty of everything is not going to solve anything. FYI biggest media companies are now tech companies, So what are we doing to improve things?
