Because then any pull request introducing something into Chromium essentially becomes the web standard. For example, Google has a ton of influence on the project. If they want to, they can introduce something that benefits their services but eschews the web standard.

I think it makes it more concrete to have actual victims talking about specifics of their incidents and then applying those to the bigger picture. A hashtag movement is much more abstract and harder for readers to connect to, which would be less powerful and do a lesser job of getting the message across.

I think this is due to self-selection. Generally, children who are homeschooled have parents who are obviously extremely active in their child's education - an important factor in long-term academic success. Also, homeschoolers tend to be a special group of people on either end of the intelligence spectrum which led them to decide they need the specialization not offered in regular schools. The kids applying to Stanford would be on the high end of the spectrum.

Microsoft now has PowerBI in its Office suite that is pretty powerful. Its a Tableau competitor that I believe is a big reason that their stock is falling. It integrates with Excel, Access, etc. and a ton of different other non-Microsoft services.

He doesn't assert that it doesn't work with it. Rather, the author states you shouldn't interact heavily with the DOM with both Angular and D3 - choose one to keep things simpler.
