Yes, 4K120Hz! My TV could do 144Hz but i couldn't select it so 4K120 seems to be the limit.

After commenting i looked up the actual capabilities of the port and it turns out while the port is officially only HDMI 2.0 it actually still supports 120Hz, HDR and VRR anyway. So basically it only doesn't support Display Stream Compression for 144Hz and beyond.

I quickly tested this by connecting my PC running Linux with a RX 6800 to my TV (LG C4). 120Hz, VRR and HDR were all available.

HDMI 2.0

The HDMI Forum yet again rearing it's ugly head by continuing to block GPU manufacturers from implementing HDMI 2.1 in the Open Source drivers

Really weird that the label loot boxes and gambling mechanics in games as recent trends and mostly ignore them, as they imho are the main culprit here.

These kids don't transition from gaming to gambling. They switch from gambling in games like Counter-Strike, Fifa or Apex Legends, to gambling on online casinos.

Also from what I have witnessed, this transition already happens while they are still minors, as many of the big casinos have no KYC until you want to cash out again.

I have to agree on the latency issues. While i luckily didn't get any motion sickness from it i found it very distracting and never got used to it, even after several weeks of regular use playing several simracing games. After a lot of tinkering I got i got it down to around 30-35ms with virtual desktop, but found it still very distracting.

Switching to a headset with a DP cable was night and day to me in terms of immersion!
